Veteran – Healing of the body and mind
September 16, 2016
I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I sustained several injuries both physically and mentally. I have seen many doctors for my injuries. The most common approach was to throw medicine at me, that didn’t really work it just masked the pain. I was recommended to come to Good Life Healing Center because recently my L4 and L5 disc vertebrae had herniated while at home doing simple yard work. Which as a former soldier I hoped that taking Ibuprofen and water and a few days of rest would help. It just got worse, where I was unable to walk for a few days. So my neighbor recommended trying acupuncture. I was very skeptical of it, but I thought let’s give it a try.
Let me tell you personally, that when I arrived at the Clinic I was still very skeptical. Till I started to speak with one of the wonderful caring doctors. We sat and talked about my stresses and my anxiety. The things I’m going through emotionally, and the pain & difficulty I had walking. They are very kind & caring. The doctor spoke with me for an hour getting to know me and my pain, she understood it clearly. Which was nice as most doctors seem to rush in & ask questions then say a few things and leave, not this Clinic.
It is now my fourth visit and I feel much better after I leave each visit. The staff is friendly and helpful, the doctors are wonderful and listen to you. Every time I leave I feel relaxed and at ease. Which for me is hard to do.
My skepticism is gone now. Between the acupuncture, talking to the doctors & the treatments I have received I have much less pain without taking medicine. It has helped me immensely with my coming to terms with things.
I would really recommend trying it and see if it helps you, again I was skeptical but I feel much improvement from going to Good Life Healing Center.
I can’t thank them enough.
